1991 State championship baseball team from Logansport. This was Jim Turner Sr.'s last year as head coach of the Berries after four state championships. He is in the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame.

Logan defeated Highland, 7-2, in the afternoon game, and then beat Marion, 9-5, to win the state. John Curl was the second Logansport player to win the L.V. Phillips mental attitude award. The 1979 Logansport State Champion baseball team. The team defeated Evansville Memorial, 6-5, in 10 innings. Memorial was riding a 59 game winning streak, and a 29-0 record in 1979 - led by Don Mattingly, who made a great name for himself in the major leagues with the New York Yankees. Mattingly was named the L.V. Phillips Mental Attitude award winner for the state tournament.
Logansport's state finals roster included: Jeff Ball, Phil Benson, Barry Bowyer, Damon Bryan, Tim Grandstaff, Mark Holt, Eric Kinnaman, Tim Knight, Mitch Mauck, Bert Miller, Barry Platt, Brad Platt, George Prentice, Darr Shively, Mark Snyder, Eric Sweet, Scott Troglen, Jeff Wild and Steve Zinsmaster. Logansport went into the state finals series with a 27-4 record. |
