Who I Am
I was born and grew up in Logansport, Indiana. As a young man it was always my hope that I could make a difference in my community, and the young people that I coached. A tragic accident, and a false accusation by people who I thought were friends, pretty much ruined that.

My early years were pretty much routine, for the most part, but I was stuck in a home that lacked any kind of love, and a lot of emotional problems. Going to school. Having a paper route. Playing Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball. It was tough at times. My dad was an alcoholic. I had seven brothers and sisters, and my mom had to raise all of us basically on her own. I'd go to sleep at night knowing that I was going to be woke up in the early morning hours by my dad stumbling into the house, bumping his way into the bedroom, and then continually badgering my mom while he fell asleep in a drunken stuper. If I wanted anything I had to earn it myself. If I wanted to go anywhere, I had to find my own way. My younger brothers and sisters didn't have that to go through in their lives, so they don't know just how tough it was.
